Sensex trades around 30000; realty stocks surge
Markets were trading higher in the afternoon trade on the back of realty stocks outperformance.
The Sensex is up 105.49 points at 29964.29, and the Nifty up 38.50 points at 9323.80.
About 1621 shares have advanced, 1054 shares declined, and 171 shares are unchanged.
ICICI Bank, BHEL, Tata Motors, Lupin, ONGC, Ambuja Cements, Eicher Motors, ACC and UltraTech Cement were major gainers on the indices, while top losers include Adani Ports, Larsen and Toubro, HDFC, Bajaj Auto, BPCL, Hindalco, ITC and IOC.
