RUPEE OPENS 19 PAISE HIGHER AT 64.54 AGAINST DOLLAR

The rupee opened 19 paise up at 64.54 against dollar on Thursday following fresh bouts of dollar selling by banks and exporters. 

USDINR spot is likely to appreciate on Thursday tracking gains in the Asian equity markets. The local currency on Wednesday closed 16 paise up at 64.73 against dollar.
